Our services.

  • Our experience

With ten years’ experience in picture framing and a background in graphic design and fine art, our expert understanding of both design and function informs every beautiful piece we frame.

Your artwork should be enhanced by the frame as well as protected, and there is a lot to consider in the framing process. We will guide you through the experience, including considerations such as: where might this piece hang in your home? Will it hang with other pictures? Is it a large or small room, dim or bright? Be it a family photograph, a painting, print or drawing - let us talk through the options of how to best to frame your picture so it is cherished for years to come.

  • Our Frames

At Parade Frames we offer a bespoke selection of frame styles and materials. Curating our range means we can keep waste minimal and prices down. We aim to source all our bare wood mouldings with FSC certification.

  • Hand Finished Frames

Solid wood mouldings in our collection include Oak, Ash, and Tulip. All are sanded for a smooth feel and either a wax or varnish finish applied. We also offer a range of bespoke hand finishes including lime wax and wood staining.

  • Hand Painted Mouldings

Specialising in hand painted moulding profiles. Choosing from a wide range of Farrow & Ball colours or another bespoke colour to suit your picture. The moulding is sanded smooth then given 2-3 coats of paint with a light sand between each coat. A final coat of matt or satin varnish completes the look and gives your frames that extra protection.

  • Standard Mouldings

Factory sprayed softwood mouldings. These are more affordable than our hardwood and hand painted range and are mainly available in black and white.

  • Mounting

Mounting is how the artwork sits within the frame.
Window - classic mounting method. A window is cut out of a piece of mountboard and the artwork sits behind it.
Float - This mounting style gives the appearance that artwork is floating off the mount board, creating a small shadow gap all around it. Works well when your artwork needs to be seen right up to the edges. The artwork is kept off the glass with spacers.
